Here goes nothin', :)

Have you noticed that there are numerous singers or bands that get famous for no good reason at all ? I have seen many people that can't even sing, but they get famous because of their looks or who they know. Katy Perry is a good example. She sings very well. But once you hear her live, your ears feel like they're broken. She can't sing for her life. Just because she sounds good with her voice synchronized, doesn't mean that she's naturally a good singer.

There are so many bands and singers out there that deserve to be famous, but aren't. And most of them can actually sing. While Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus are out there making tons of money for basically sucking, these bands like Our Last Night, and Swimming With Dolphins are working so hard and not getting anywhere. Andy Sixx is another person who I believe deserves to be famous. He is an amazing singer, has been trying for so long to get famous, using I Tunes, Myspace and Facebook, and hasn't even gotten a chance at stardom.
Honestly, how did Miley Cyrus get famous ? Her dad. Since he was famous long before her, it was a heck of a lot easier for her to become famous and get a career in singing no matter how bad she is. Yes, Party In The USA is a catchy little tune, I get it. But has anyone heard her live ? She SUCKS. Please, people stop liking her just because she's "hot" and because she has a whole secret "Hannah Montana" life. It's frustrating to those who want to hear good music.


I think that if you are truly trying to hear good music, check out new bands and singers. There are so many people out there trying to get famous, and you can help by listening to their music and spreading the word. Owl City is one of those amazing bands that have been making music for a couple years, and are just now getting famous. And how did they get famous ? Through spreading the word. So please, next time you go to listen to Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry, think about it. Do they really deserve to be famous ?

    I agree. There are many hidden talents and yet society only pays attention to those who strave themsevles, show their bodies and are in magazines.

    Haha I liked that you called Party In The USA a "catchy Little tune" that made me laugh.
    I agree. I was just talking about this today with someone. Believe it or not, but Taylor Swift is not good AT ALL live. She sang on Dancing With The Stars and it was terrible. I mean sure she's good when he voice is mixed and fixed, and sure she writes great songs, but her first record label dumped her because she wasn't good.
